Nostalgia drives the inspiration for my work, whether it is personal or more universal. I love working with the theme of nostalgia because it offers me the opportunity to connect with members of my audience on a personal level. The simplest things can trigger a memory for someone and cause them to travel back in time for a moment. My favorite part about my work is when someone looks at a piece and tells me a story that connects with their history.

 

I draw inspiration from travel,

analog technology, music/pop culture of the twentieth century, and all things vintage. I explore these themes in a variety of ways such as my use of color, subject matter, materials, and techniques. I work with traditional and experimental printmaking techniques, weaving, embroidery, and a growing number of crafts.
